Sr. Audrey Guilfoil was born to John and Bridget Cullen Guilfoil on January 4, 1887 and given the name Laura at her baptism. Laura entered St. Walburg Monastery on June3, 1927 and received the habit and her new name in February 9, 1928. Sr. Audrey made first profession on February 10, 1929 and final profession on August 25, July 6, 1922. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee on July 23, 1954 and Golden on July 1, 1979.

In 1929 Sr. Audrey cared for the young girls at St. John Orphanage and followed that with three years of domestic service there. She spent five years in charge of the monastery laundry. St. Benedict, Covington, St. Therese, Southgate, St. Francis Xavier, Falmouth, welcomed her services as cook. From 1965-1977 she assisted in the monastery sewing room.

Many sisters remember Sr. Audrey’s devotion to the Cincinnati Reds and on many afternoons she sat in the swing in the backyard listening to her favorite team play. She was never a fair weather fan. Sr. Audrey died in the monastery infirmary on June 21, 1985.
