Sr. Armella Klein was born to Jacob and Barabara Bopp Kelin and given the name Rose at her baptism. Rose entered St. Walburg Monastery on January 18, 1909 and received the habit and her new name on August 25, 1909. Sr. Armella made first profession on October 5, 1910 and final profession on November 6, 1913.

Sr. Armella served as sacristan at Holy Cross from 1910 until 1919. from 1919 until 1928 she was stationed at St. John Orphanage where she did housework and cared for the children. She then returned to St. Walburg in 1928 where for three years she served as procuratrix. Sr. Armella’s youngest sister, Sr. Leonilla Klein, was also a member of St. Walburg Monastery. Sr. Armella died on July 3, 1935 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
