Sr. Fleuresita Schriever was born to Charles and Elizabeth Dusing Schriever and given the name Marie at her baptism. Marie entered St. Walburg Monastery on June 7, 1924 and received the habit and a new name on February 9, 1925. Sr. Fleuresita made first profession on February 10, 1926 and final profession on February 9, 1929. Her younger sister, Sr. Ada, entered the community in 1929. Sr. Fleuresita celebrated her Silver Jubilee on July 2, 1951 and Golden on June 19, 1976.

Sr. Fleuresita was a teacher in the following schools:

  • Holy Cross (Grades 1 and 2) 1926-31
  • St. Joseph, Crescent Springs (Grades 1, 2, 3, 4) 1934-35
  • St. Henry (Grades 4, 5, 6, 7) 1935-62
  • All Saints, Walton (Grades 4-8) 1962-63
  • Holy Cross (Grade 6) 1963-64
  • St. Pius X (Grade 4) 1964-76, full-time; 1977-78, part-time

Sr. Fleuresita returned to the monastery after her time at St. Pius and assisted in many and various ways. Her death occurred on March 29, 1986.
