Sr. Paula Kurry was born to Henry and Appolonia Obringer Kurry and given the name Clara at her baptism. Clara was the oldest of ten children. She entered St. Walburg Monastery on June 7, 1924 and received the habit and her new name on February 9, 1925. Sr. Paula made first profession on February 10, 1926 and final profession on February 9, 1929. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee on July 3, 1951 and Golden on June 19, 1976.

Sr. Paula’s chief ministry was in service to the Benedictine sisters at various missions although she cared for the youngest children at St. John Orphanage for eight years. She served at Villa Madonna Academy; All Saints, Walton; St. Francis Xavier, Falmouth; and St. Paul, Florence.

Sr. Paula resided in the infirmary after 1968 and she died there on September 10, 1982.
