Sr. Clara McManus was born to John and Mary Jane McCullough McManus and given the name Sarah at her baptism. Sarah entered St. Walburg Monastery on February 21, 1901 and received the habit and her new name on August 10, 1901. Sr. Clara made first profession on December 20, 1902 and final profession on August 28, 1906. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee on January 1, 1928 and Golden on January 11, 1952.
Sr. Clara served the community at St. Walburg Monastery and Villa Madonna by caring for the sick and assisting with housekeeping. Her death occurred on September 9, 1952.
