1. Justin, Martyr

O God, you called Justin to use his gift of knowledge to seek divine wisdom through the folly of the cross. Guide us in our search for truth and strengthen us in trial. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who abides with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.

2. Ascension of the Lord
God of wondrous power, our Savior Jesus Christ ascended into heaven that all things might be fulfilled in him. His ascension is our hope of glory. 3. Founders’ Day
O God, we remember and give thanks for courageous and visionary women who founded this community. O God, in every age you send forth messengers to preach the good news of salvation and to witness to your love. 10. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church
O God of mystery, in your provident design for the Church, the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ and mother of God, was present among the Apostles at Pentecost as the Holy Spirit came upon them. They were filled with the gifts of the Spirit and zeal for preaching the Gospel message to all the world. Today we celebrate Mary as Mother of the Church, the first disciple and model for all members in her fiat to your plans for salvation. O God, you filled Barnabas with the Holy Spirit and sent him to spread the good news among the nations. Fill your Church with a spirit of zeal. 12. Wednesday of the 10th Week in Ordinary Time
God, who fashions the earth in beauty and truth, mold our lives in prudent wisdom to conserve the resources of the earth and to use them for the good of all. May our actions further your creative work. Lead us to a world of justice and peace where you live and reign with Jesus Christ in the unity of the Holy Spirit, forever and ever.

13. Anthony of Padua, Priest, Religious, Doctor of the Church
O God, you filled Anthony with the spirit of humility, poverty, patience and obedience. You made him a great preacher and a ready helper in time of need. Grant us the help of your grace in every difficulty and show us how to live the Christian life with eagerness and joy. Compassionate and merciful God, graciously accept our contrite hearts as a worthy expression of sorrow for our sins. We long for you, God, Source of mercy and peace. Reveal your power working among us here as you revealed your power to your people Israel. Remember not our transgressions, but be with us and shower us with the fullness of your grace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ who reveals your presence among us and who abides with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.

3 Thomas, Apostle
God of revelation and truth, you restored the faith of Thomas when he touched the risen body of Jesus Christ. Strengthen our faith and confirm our experience of Christ’s presence in our midst. At the end of this day, we ask for your peace, O God. You know our sin and our guilt. May your love free us from all that binds us to evil and give light to our minds and hearts. May we rest this evening in peaceful repose, confident that Jesus Christ, who has borne our human frailty, will give us his divine assistance.
