Sister Immaculata Haar

Current Ministry and Interests: I am currently working part-time at Madonna Manor Nursing Home as Assistant Business Manager. Besides bookkeeping, I also chauffeur the sisters to doctors. I enjoy working with numbers and working puzzles for relaxation. I give priority to monastic prayer and to witnessing to Christ through my active ministry, always keeping in mind the Benedictine motto: Ora et Labora (Pray and Work)

Favorite Scripture quotation: For 60 years I have lived the life of a Benedictine, always keeping in mind my favorite quotation from Scripture, "Everyone who has left house or brethren for my sake, will receive a hundred times more and will be given eternal life." Matthew 19:29.

Monastic Life at St. Walburg Monastery: Monastic life at St. Walburg Monastery, through the vows of stability, conversion of morals and obedience, has given me the opportunity to truly seek God, to grow in the spiritual life and in faith, to be a living witness to the world through the celebration of the Eucharist, Liturgy of the Hours and my active ministry.
